The COVID-19 pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on Latinos because of longstanding inequities in health, education, economic opportunities, and other aspects of daily life. And while the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), provides a historic amount of relief for Americans struggling to make ends meet, we have to make sure Latinos, immigrants, and vulnerable communities receive the care they need. It also provided an opportunity for us to consider how we might shape and reaffirm our strategic direction and leverage the UnidosUS-Affiliate partnership. In this session, UnidosUS President & CEO Janet Murguía and Chief Operating Officer Sonia M. Pérez will share outcomes of a strategic engagement with Bridgespan Group, including lessons learned about the potential and value Latino organizations bring to our country at this moment; the importance of balancing bold and internal investments; and the difference that inclusive decision-making can make in driving impact.
